Artworks London...secret pencils
We kick off the year with the 8th edition of ARTWORKS London featuring '' by Alex Hammond and Mike Tinney all in the aid of the charity ''.
Alex & Mike have reached beyond their founding disciplines of design and photography in order to create hyper-real images of the everyday. In particular, they have addressed the pencil as the common denominator in creative work, whatever the industry. This photographic project seeks to savour the use of pencils – documenting them in stunning detail, and thereby showing the secrets of their use and revealing an insight into their users: professionals who have defined themselves and their craft with the help of the modest stylus.
The exhibition presents director Dougal Wilson's special edition auction framed print with pencil and other key creative influencers' involved in the project. The Secret Life Of The Pencil expo has transformed the Glasswork London office into a vibrant boost of creativity and private gallery for us to enjoy till August.
With the preview evening starting off with an insightful and inspiring speeches from the artist and representatives from Glassworks and charity, the night then continued to blossom into a joyful vibe. Keeping the energy up London kept the movers and the shakers on the dance floor, whilst the top bartenders plied us with refreshing ice cold drinks and special Belgium beers. Without a doubt the pimped up posh hot dogs from had our mouth watering for more from their delicious menu.
A special thank you to everyone involved and who were able to attend the event, we really appreciate you all showing your support for this great cause.
There is still time to place a bid for the Dougal Wilson's framed print and pencil- contact ; all proceeds will be donated directly to the charity.
