Freelance MCR operators
Glassworks Amsterdam are looking for experienced and technically-minded machine room operators, for occasional holiday cover.
The primary activities centre around assisting the 3 Flame suites, 2 edit suites, and maintaining the flow of data around the building, from loading and converting camera footage, to outputting files and uploading to ftp sites or playing out directly to stations. An understanding of the time pressures and deadlines involved in a busy post production facility is a must.
It is essential that you have a broad knowledge of all common camera formats, plenty of experience in transcoding files in programs like Episode and Premiere, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and an in-depth knowledge of HD CamSR and Digibeta decks. You must be equally proficient in Apple and PC systems as you will be required to use both. A knowledge of the basics of Avid and Final Cut Pro would be a welcome bonus.
Please note that you would be working on site in our Dutch office, mainly for periods of just a few days, but possibly for up to 2 weeks.

Senior Producer
Glassworks London are looking to recruit a Senior Producer with a proven record in commercials post – production. The ideal candidate for this varied and customer focused role will be very experienced in high end visual effects. In addition we are looking for someone who is capable of generating new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating and scheduling on VFX work
- Advising on methodology throughout the production process.
- Generating new business opportunities.
- Maintaining an excellent standard of client relations.
- Line producing jobs from start to finish.
Skills and Experience
Ideally with at least 6 years experience as a Producer in commercial post-production. With a thorough understanding of CG work flows, the use of XSI, Flame, Smoke, Nuke and Telecine.
Must have great organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent people skills to maintain a happy team and happy clients, in what can often be a highly demanding and fast-paced environment.

Senior XSI TDs
Senior, experienced TDs required in the London branch to work on commercials.
We are looking for proven experience and skill in the lighting, rendering, shading side of things. Photorealism is the main thrust of what will be required. A technical mind and a generalist's background would be an advantage as would experience in dealing with clients, shoots, lenses, live-action integration, problem solving etc. We have recently started using Arnold so any experience in that would be attractive.
