Glassworks Amsterdam acquires top senior talent
Always on the hunt for the best talent, Glassworks Amsterdam is very happy to have recently appointed two more senior artists; Morten Vinther takes his seat as the head of our 2D department, and Dan Hope has joined us as Senior 3D Animator.
Morten is an industry veteran of 15 years and his creative journey has taken him all around the world, working on major campaigns and with some of the industry's biggest names. You can read a bit more about him in his profile here.
We have been trying to lure Dan to join Glassworks for the last three years, whilst he has worked regularly for both our London and Amsterdam offices as freelance animator, but it was ultimately the unique creative atmosphere of Glassworks Amsterdam that finally convinced him to give up his wandering ways. When not working for Glassworks on major projects like the recent Crocs campaign, he has been developing his skills with long periods at the Mill, Fluid Pictures, BSkyB, Passion Pictures, and Lumiere Studios. He began his career 9 years ago at Clear, but after 4 years he realised that bigger challenges were needed to grow, and so went freelance to become not just an animator with a unique eye for performance and timing, but also an experienced technical problem solver. This same spirit of self-development has also taken him around the world many times allowing him to eat dogs, travel the Trans-Siberian Express, and learn Mandarin.
