Artworks presents Alique

We would like to thank each of the 400+ guests that helped firmly establish Artworks as the best private art show/party in Amsterdam. On October 13th 2011 the Glassworks offices were host to a record number of revellers who tore the place up to an awesome live set from The Calimocho Club, break-dancing, creating artwork on the walls, and crowd-surfing to the DJ set at midnight, all while throwing back cocktails with the beautiful people from the combined creative worlds of advertising, photography, fashion, film and music. The sheer scale of this party was evident in the absence of agency creatives, producers, directors and editors the following morning!

We were especially privileged to have the exquisite private works of fashion photographer Alique gracing the walls for this particular exhibition. Her stunning, larger-than-life portraits are a combination of her editorial work for publishing giants Elle, Glamour and Vogue Magazine, and her intense and iconic images resulting from her ongoing project entitled 'Women, an introduction ...' The images are at once confrontational and beautiful, and have sparked the most discussion of any Artworks exhibition so far.

Now that the room has stopped spinning, and the voices in our heads have quietened down, we take a short break before planning how to make the next event even better! We hope to see you all again soon. Watch this space.
