Artworks Does Amsterdam Fashion Week

On Thursday 14th July, Artworks briefly brightened up the miserable rainy weather, by adding a touch of gothic glamour, and the best reason in town to be late for work the next day.

In collaboration with Amsterdam International Fashion week, the exhibition previewed inventively sculptural textiles by fashion designers Synnøve Balabanian and Giulia Pecorari. The print designs from designer Peppered Moth completed the amazing installations, and were complemented beautifully by the incredible abstract jewellery by Nathalie Tappin, and the stunning fashion photography of Torben Raun. The models mingled with the crowds, a live photo shoot took place throughout the evening, our champagne-and-cherry cocktails welcomed guests at the door, and suckling Pigs roasted on a spit in the garden marquee. The candelabras, the decadent gothic decor, and of course our beautiful guests completed the evening.

Once again, an amazingly uplifting set by DJ cable juice got everyone dancing by the end of the night.

Thanks so much to all who braved the weather and looking forward to seeing you at the next Artworks in mid October!
