Artworks #11

Glassworks Amsterdam went a bit surreal on February 16th, when Artworks presented the launch of the stunning group collection from the artists Super A, M Jay, Collin van der Sluijs and Rutger Termohlen. We were treated to a head-bending mix of photography, painting and street-inspired art, all complemented perfectly by the tunes from the super-talented Hear No Evil DJs.

Guests arrived in record numbers again, an ever-growing testament to the continued buzz surrounding the events, and also the hard work put in by organisers, Hannah MacDonald, Samantha Maynard and new team member Elyne Meijs. Artworks #11 also marked our official status as 'Amsterdam institution', with the city of Amsterdam now an official sponsor - Huge thank you to them!

The core crowd remains the cream of the creative community from Amsterdam, but word seems to have spread overseas, as Artworks now welcomes a growing art/party-loving contingent from the creative industries of London, Barcelona, and accross Germany. During this event, everone was treated to a cocktail bar courtesy of our kind sponsorship partners Absolut Vodka, Havana Rum and Jameson Whiskey, and and mixologists from The Fabulous Shaker Boys. Guests also enjoyed a skillful demonstartion of live body painting, free face-painting for the brave, and a never-ending stream of all-American hot dogs in the garden marquee for those already beautiful enough.

Another amazing event, but always more to look forward to in the future! Please check out the photos from the event ... and soon the video(!), very kindly shot and edited by the talented folk at Hear No evil. Keep checking the Facebook page for the update!
